What is the application process?
First, go ahead and fill out an application!
After this, we’ll reach out to schedule a 30-minute video interview. This allows us to learn more about you and gives you time to ask any questions you still have.
If you’re accepted for the trip, your first 25% deposit will be due within 3 days of acceptance and the balance will be due 90 days before the trip. If you apply and are accepted less than 60 days before the start date of the trip, then the full balance is due.
-
Who are the trip leaders and how structured are the trips?
Each adventure is led by a trip leader who oversees all logistics and is available to answer any questions or concerns. The trip manager will be with the group for the duration of the adventure and has designed a mix of structured and unstructured activities. See the itinerary for more details.
-
Is airfare included?
You’re responsible for arranging and paying for your airfare. Airport pick up and drop off are included in the cost of your trip.
-
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, we highly recommend getting travel insurance. Once you’re registered for a trip, we can recommend a few vendors that offer easily accessible, affordable plans.
-
Is Unbroken Adventures a rehab program?
Our goal at Unbroken Adventures is to create a safe, supportive, fun environment for substance-free individuals, but we are not a rehab or recovery program.
-
Why wasn’t I accepted on an Unbroken Adventure?
In an effort to support the whole group, at times we may determine an individual still requires more structured and comprehensive support than our trips provide.
We know every person’s recovery journey looks different and includes unique challenges, and we support you, wherever you are on your path. If you are not accepted for a trip, it does not mean you won’t be accepted in the future, and we encourage you to apply for the same or different trip at a later date.
